Introduction to My Facebook Lead Ads Journey
I am pleased to welcome you to the inaugural post of my journey into Facebook Lead Ads. If your objective is to enhance your client base while effectively navigating potential challenges, you are in the right place. In this post, I will provide insights from my initial experiments and outline the adjustments I am implementing to optimize results. Let’s begin.
Week One Results: An Overview
After launching my Facebook Lead Ad campaign, I carefully monitored its performance throughout the first week. Below is a summary of the results:
- Total Leads Generated: 12
- Cost per Lead: $4.17
- Clicks: 837
- Impressions: 1,214
- Daily Lead Generation: Consistently two leads from Monday to Friday
- Weekend Performance: No leads generated on Saturday and Sunday
While generating 12 leads in the inaugural week is a positive achievement, the lack of leads over the weekend deserves further consideration. The consistent performance during the weekdays suggests that there is potential for success; however, the weekend gap highlights an area that needs improvement. Facebook has indicated that increasing the budget could enhance ad performance. However, given that this is still a learning phase for me, I prefer to focus on understanding how the system works before contemplating any budget increases.
Strategic Adjustments for Enhanced Performance
In light of these results, I recognized the need to implement strategic changes moving forward. Here are the adjustments I have planned for the upcoming week:
- Utilizing Facebook’s Automated Optimization:
I have activated Facebook’s automated optimization feature. This should leverage their sophisticated algorithms to improve targeting and potentially connect with a more engaged audience. However, I am aware that while these strategies can create more leads, they may hinder my opportunity to learn what works best for me personally. Implementing automated solutions is tempting, especially when anxiety about performance surfaces—a completely normal feeling. Yet, I recognize that this approach could detract from my learning journey and inhibit my ability to understand the intricacies of the process. For clarification, I implemented these changes prior to writing this article, so my insights are based on the adjustments I’ve already made. - Extending the Testing Period:
To gain further insights into these modifications, I will extend the campaign for an additional seven days. This extended timeframe will allow for a clearer evaluation of what is effective and what may require further refinement.
Future Focus: Enhancing Visual Appeal
A key focus moving forward will be to improve the visual elements of the ads. Given the importance of engaging imagery on Facebook, my strategy includes the following:
- Testing Various Images:
I will evaluate a range of images to ascertain which ones resonate most effectively with my target audience. - Ensuring High-Quality Visuals:
It is imperative that all images utilized are of high quality and relevant to the ad’s messaging. I am excited to use my new tools in the affiliate system to create the visuals for this post. - Incorporating Eye-Catching Features:
Employing bold colors and concise text overlays will be a priority to ensure the ads stand out in users’ feeds.
I will provide updates on the outcomes of these adjustments in future posts. Additionally, if you are pursuing a similar journey, I encourage you to share your thoughts or experiences in the comments section. Together, we can explore the intricacies of Facebook Lead Ads.

Facebook ads are a tricky business sometimes. My advice is to test two to 5 ads for a couple days to help pick out a winner. It took me a couple years to figure out the FB ad stucture. Over time you will get better and better.
Hi Scott,
Thanks for the advice! I completely agree—testing multiple ads can really help find what works best. It’s definitely a learning process, and I appreciate your insights. Here’s to getting better together!
