Happy Saturday, everyone!
I hope you all had a fantastic week. As usual, I’m here to share the latest updates on my business journey. This week has been a mix of steady progress and new challenges, and I’m excited to dive into the details with you.
Notable Achievements:
Positive Feedback on the Chat Widget: The chat widget on my blog has been a fantastic addition. This week, I received several messages from readers who found it helpful. It’s great to have a direct line of communication, and I’m learning a lot from the feedback I’m receiving.
Challenges Faced:
Lead Ad Rejection: Unfortunately, my Facebook lead ad was rejected because it didn’t comply with advertising policies. This was a setback, but it’s also a learning opportunity. I reached out to my mentor for help, but unfortunately, I asked for a revision after I had already submitted the ad to Facebook. However, my mentor has set aside time next Monday to go through it with me and teach me how to correct the mistakes I made. After that, I will resubmit the ad to Facebook for review. This experience has taught me the importance of seeking guidance early in the process and thoroughly understanding the platform’s rules.
Technical Glitches with Facebook Lead Ads: One of the hardest challenges I encountered with my Facebook lead ads was uploading a picture or banner for my ads. Despite following the instructions, there’s still something I don’t quite understand about the process. This issue has been frustrating, but I plan to address it in my session with my mentor next Monday. It’s crucial to get these details right to ensure the ads perform well.
Additional Technical Issue with Facebook Lead Ads: Additionally, there’s another technical issue I’ve encountered with my Facebook Lead Ads. It pertains to directing traffic to my AWeber funnel. Despite following the guidance provided in the video training, I’ve faced challenges in setting up the necessary connector for seamless integration. Moreover, Facebook Lead Ads provide a tracking code to be pasted on the pages of my funnel campaign to monitor results, which is another aspect that requires attention.
Mentor Training Session:
Wednesday’s Training Session: On Wednesday, we had a three-hour training session with my mentor. During this session, he reviewed everyone’s website and provided personalized feedback based on his findings. In my case, he suggested that my main page should be the blog rather than the ‘About’ page. I took his suggestion to heart, and I now need to change my landing page so that it directs visitors to the blog. This feedback was incredibly valuable, and I’m excited to implement this change to improve user engagement.
Learning and Insights:
Understanding Advertising Policies: The rejection of my lead ad highlighted the importance of understanding and adhering to advertising policies. This experience taught me to be more diligent in reviewing guidelines before launching any campaign and to seek advice from mentors before submitting.
Importance of Resilience: This week reinforced the importance of resilience. There will always be hurdles and setbacks, but staying focused and persistent is key. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow.
The Value of Community Feedback: The feedback from my blog’s chat widget has been invaluable. It’s a reminder that engaging with your audience can provide insights that you might not have considered. Listening to your community is crucial for continuous improvement. I thank you all for taking the time and giving the support.
Next Steps:
Revising Lead Ads: My immediate next step is to revise my Facebook lead ad to comply with the advertising policies with the help of my mentor next Monday. After making the necessary corrections, I will resubmit it for Facebook’s review, Please wish me good luck.
Resolving Technical Issues: I will also address the issue of uploading images or banners for my Facebook lead ads during my mentor session. Understanding this process is essential for creating effective ads.
Updating Website Landing Page: Following my mentor’s advice, I will change my website’s landing page to the blog. This adjustment aims to enhance user engagement and make it easier for visitors to access my latest content.
Continued Community Engagement: Building and nurturing my community remains a top priority. I’ll be using the chat widget and social media to engage more with my audience, answer their questions, and provide support.

Best regards,
I’m sorry to hear that your ad did not conform to FB’s policies. I imagine it was something really obscure and petty. I’ve had a similar experience with TikTok videos. You are in the best hands with your mentor though. Onwards and upwards, my friend.
Hi Andy,
Thank you for your understanding and supportive words. It can indeed be frustrating when our efforts don’t align with platform policies, but you’re right—having a mentor to guide me through these challenges is invaluable.
I’m sorry to hear about your experience with TikTok videos; it seems navigating these platforms’ policies can be quite the journey. Nonetheless, as you said, onwards and upwards! We’ll keep pushing forward and learning along the way.
Thanks again for your encouragement.

Yes, setting up Facebook Lead Ads can be quite challenging, but I’m not giving up. It’s encouraging to know that you’re working on your own ad as well; I’m sure you’ll do great. It’s a learning process for all of us!
I look forward to sharing more progress and tips with you next week. Cheers to our efforts and successes!
Thanks again and have a great day!
Your vulnerable sharing helps all of us! I appreciate your transparency. I’d be interested to know exactly what was unacceptable to Facebook? Maybe they aren’t specific? Anyway, seeking help is always a good strategy!
Hello Kate,
Thank you for your kind words and for appreciating my transparency. The issue with my Facebook lead ads was primarily related to the wording used in the ad and the URL I included. Facebook has very strict guidelines, and certain phrases or links can easily trigger a rejection. They weren’t very specific in their feedback, but after consulting with my mentor, I realized that some of the language used in my ad didn’t comply with their advertising policies.
Seeking help definitely made a difference, and I’m confident that with the necessary adjustments, my next submission will be successful. I appreciate your interest and support. It’s a learning process, and sharing these experiences helps us all grow. Thanks again for your encouragement!

The issues with Facebook lead ads have been a learning experience, but having a mentor’s guidance has been invaluable. I’m looking forward to making the necessary improvements and sharing more about the journey.
I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the blog update that Dean highlighted. It’s definitely been a rewarding process.
Thanks again for your support and for sharing your thoughts. Best of luck with your own endeavors—I’m excited to see what you achieve!
Best,
Ezequiel
Hi Ezequiel,
Great progress synopsis! I think the learning curves for FB lead ads & Google ads can be quite daunting and that’s one mountain I’m going to climb – just a little later!
One thing the past couple of weeks have shown me is that you can’t recoup time wasted on what you think is “productive time”. I can’t say that it was wasted time but it just wasn’t as productive for me as I had thought or anticipated – something I’m going to make clear for the future by clearly defining my weekly tasks + why they are there + what the benefit will be.
All the best!
Hello Marc,
Thank you for your kind words! The learning curves for Facebook lead ads and Google ads are indeed challenging, but they’re also incredibly rewarding once you get the hang of them. I totally understand your approach to tackling them later; it’s all about pacing and prioritizing what works best for your journey.
Your insight about the perception of productive time is spot on. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking we’re being productive, only to realize that our efforts didn’t yield the results we anticipated. Defining weekly tasks with clear objectives and expected benefits sounds like a great strategy. It helps to ensure that every action taken contributes meaningfully to our goals.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and strategies—it’s always encouraging to hear how others are navigating their journeys. Wishing you all the best in your endeavors!
